Last week was an exciting couch potato week for me with lots of shows airing its finale or nearing its end. Here’s a quick recap of the three that I managed to watch and I think would be of interest to you as well.
Biggest Loser – This was my week’s highlight. I’m a sucker for this show and this season, just like everyone else, I’m really really pleased with how it turned out. If a 48 year old woman can lose 54.47% of her body weight and a 64-year old grand pop can lose 48% of his, what excuse do we have for not getting fit?
American Idol – Kris Allen proved to have a bigger fan base than I expected. He is now gunning for the top spot even though Adam is still the favourite. We’ll see what happens next week. I’ve already said that I’m Adam’s girl so I really hope Danny Gokey’s fans doesn’t shift their support to Kris.
Grey’s Anatomy – Of course I had to watch the season finale. Weirdly I wasn’t too moved by the finale and am a bit miffed that I’ll need to wait several months to find out whether Katherine Heigl and/or T.R. Knight are gone for good. Lots of other unanswered questions aside from that but I guess these things are what keep us watching the next season.
Lots more coming next week and to be able to cover more I’ll post after each show. Stay tuned for the Survivor recap tomorrow!
Grey’s Anatomy star Brooke Smith, who plays the character of Dr. Eric Hahn has been let go from the hit show.
According to Shonda Rhimes, the decision to release Smith originated from the network and not from herself. ABC execs apparently had problems with Hahn’s sizzling relationship with Callie Torres (played by Sara Ramirez).

Elizabeth Reaser’s used to dramatic confrontations in her roles in Grey’s Anatomy and The Ex List, but she had a little unexpected personal drama on her own at a TV Critics Party. Seems like some words were exchanged — she left the party crying and holding on to a friend’s shoulder for support.

Here’s a mystery that you won’t find in medical books — Denny lives! Sort of. Reps of Grey’s Anatomy have confirmed that Jeffrey Dean Morgan will return to Seattle Grace in the coming season.

Grey’s Anatomy executive producer and creator Rhonda Rhimes gives hints on what’ll happen this new season.
Readers can expect Kate Walsh to “make some trouble” and the Mer and Der rollercoaster relationship to FINALLY settle down. “The first “Oh my God!” moment will come “probably five minutes into the first episode,” she says.

Kate Walsh left Grey’s Anatomy to do Private Practice. But since the show’s on break until the fall season, she’ll be doing a guest stint on her former hospital. Watch out for her special episode (as Dr. Addison Montgomery) in the spring.

The writer’s strike is over, but not all shows will return to the screen this season. Some have decided to put off their premiere for another few months, just to get those scripts rolling again.
View this list of schedules to find out which of your favorite series to expect. Some, like Grey’s Anatomy and Samantha Who? are pretty much shoo-ins. But fans of Private Practice and Pushing Daisies will have to wait till next season. Others are in danger of being killed off altogether.
Welcome to the new Erati!!
