Susan Boyle has secured her spot in the finals of Britain’s Got Talent despite her initial pitch problems. Susan Boyle’s performance in the talent show’s semi-finals just proves that even the best singers can crack under pressure and also that starting off wobbly does not mean a failed performance.
When Susan Boyle got on the stage her slightly better appearance was noticeable. When she opened her mouth the fact that the first few notes were also a little sour was also very noticeable. Thankfully though towards the end of the performance the fact that she got back on her feet and the finals on the bag was also very obvious. So why did Susan Boyle start off “Memory” off key? Most people ascribe it to nerves due to the great pressure exerted by her sudden rise to fame though Susan, looking like she meant it, said, “What pressure?” Of course the cheeky singer was probably joking just like she was when she admitted to having never been kissed. Whatever the reason, pressure or no pressure, you can be sure that crowd rooted for her during the whole performance. As for the judges you can bet they were also 100% behind her with Simon even joining in the standing ovation after the song and Amanda Holden being quoted as saying, “It added more charm that she kind of went wrong at the beginning. I think it added jeopardy, and you kind of loved her more, because she’s still the same person. She still gets nervous. She still realizes this is a massive opportunity.” So unless Susan Boyle messes up her song in the finale really badly we can bet that she’ll be one of the strongest contenders this year.
