Travel lovers will probably enjoy Maine’s first ever statewide adventure show. The Maine Show, as it is called, aims to highlight the potential of the state as a tourist destination. It is going to be hosted by two guides and will explore the different regions of Maine to show the rest of the world what they have to offer their visitors.
Maine Business has this report:
From Kittery to Fort Kent and Calais to Rangeley, “The Maine Show” explores each region’s recreational opportunities by presenting the distinctive destinations, local products, and authentic people that make Maine such a wonderful place to live, work and play.
“The Maine Show” is hosted by Maine adventurers Jeff Riddle and Stephanie Koetzle. The first episode of “The Maine Show” is on location in Kennebunk as Jeff and Steph ride the waves and surf the Maine coast.
“With the show launch, we wanted to profile an activity that people in Maine can enjoy year round,” said host Jeff Riddle. “Surfing is a great example of an activity in Maine that’s gaining in popularity. We show how it’s accessible to all Mainers. That’s what the “The Maine Show” is all about—activities we all can do right here in our own state that are right in our own backyard.”
If you want to catch The Maine Show, tune in to Time Warner Cable on Sunday, January 4, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Alternate showings are on Mondays at 11:30 am, Wednesdays at 7:30 pm, and Saturdays at 9:00 am.
