Sorry, no party, but The Golden Globes did push through — sans the red carpet and the “Best and Worst Dressed” lists. Last minute decision to lift the media restrictions helped diffuse the tension from the writers, but it still wasn’t the celebrity spectacle that we all love.
Anyway (sigh) here are the winners:
Best Supporting Actress: Cate Blanchett for her portrayal of Bob Dylan in I’m Not There. .
Best Supporting Television Actor: Jeremy Piven, Entourage.
Best Actress in a Television Drama: Glenn Close wins for Damage.
Best Supporting Television Actress: Samantha Morton wins for Longford. Too bad for “it girl” Katherine Heigl (don’t cry, sweetie, you’ve got your new hubby to comfort you).
